Rijke landen geven meer landbouwsubsidie
- 19-07-2010 Landbouwsteun voor boeren in rijke landen is in 2009 gestegen. Dat stelt de Organisatie voor Economische Samenwerking en Ontwikkeling (OESO) in het rapport ‘Agricultural Policies in OECD Countries: At a Glance 2010’. Landbouwsubsidies verstoren de concurrentie met boeren in ontwikkelingslanden die het zonder steun moeten doen.

Colombia-E.U. Trade Makes New Advance
- 24-05-2010 In Colombia, the most vociferous opposition to the E.U. agreement has come from dairy farmers, because the large majority of dairy farms in Colombia are family-run or small-scale businesses, which are unlikely to be able to compete against more efficient, larger-scale European producers of high-quality milk products. The FTA envisages phased reduction over 17 years of Colombian tariffs on E.U. products in the sector.
